Day 1 - Chandigarh In the morning, after breakfast, drive to Srinagar.
Arrival in Srinagar
Morning:
Arrive in Srinagar (the nearest major city to Amarnath).
Transfer to your hotel or houseboat for an overnight stay.
Afternoon:
Explore Srinagar’s famous attractions like Dal Lake, Nishat Bagh, Shankaracharya Temple, and Hazratbal Shrine
Enjoy a relaxing Shikara ride on Dal Lake
Evening:
Rest for the night in Srinagar, ensuring you're well-rested for the journey ahead..
Day 2 - Amarnath Yatra
Srinagar to Pahalgam
Morning:
Early breakfast and drive from Srinagar to Pahalgam (approximately 2-3 hours by road).
On arrival, check into your hotel or base camp in Pahalgam.
Afternoon:
Pahalgam is a beautiful town and a major base for the Amarnath Yatra. You can visit Betaab Valley, Aru Valley, or take a short stroll around Lidder River
Evening:
Rest and prepare for the yatra the following day.p>
Day 3 - Amarnath Yatra
Pahalgam to Amarnath Base (Chandanwari)
Morning:
Depart early from Pahalgam towards Chandanwari (the starting point of the yatra).
The journey to Chandanwari is by vehicle, which takes around 1-2 hours.
Chandanwari marks the beginning of the trek to Amarnath Cave. You'll need to proceed on foot or by pony to Pissu Top.
Afternoon:
Continue the trek from Pissu Top to Sheshnag Lake (about 5-6 hours).
Sheshnag is a beautiful stopover known for its serene lake and panoramic views.
Evening:
Stay overnight at the Sheshnag base camp or in a tented accommodation for rest.
Day 4 - Amarnath Yatra
Sheshnag to Amarnath Cave
Morning:
Begin your trek from Sheshnag to Panchtarni, a picturesque location and the final stop before reaching the Amarnath Cave.
The trek is about 4-6 hours. The landscape becomes more rugged and breathtaking as you climb higher.
Afternoon:
From Panchtarni, it’s a final 2-3 hour trek to the Amarnath Cave.
Reach the Amarnath Cave in the afternoon, where you can witness the naturally occurring ice Shiva Lingam.
Spend time in prayer and seek blessings at the cave.
Evening:
After darshan, begin your descent back towards Panchtarni, where you’ll stay overnight or continue to the next available camp.
Day 5 - Amarnath Yatra
Return to Pahalgam
Morning:
Begin your return journey from Panchtarni to Pahalgam. The trek will take about 6-8 hours, depending on your pace.
Rest at the camps along the way if needed.
Afternoon:
Reach Pahalgam in the afternoon. You can rest and freshen up after the challenging trek
Evening:
Return to Srinagar (2-3 hours drive), where you can spend the evening shopping or relaxing before your departure.
